The Confederation Bridge connecting NS and PEI is 13 + miles long and it must be good because I am still awaiting bank authorisation for a loan of $43.25 to pay the Toll on the way back !!

The Motel we are staying at has the No 1 Trip advisor award for their region for 2011.

9th May 2011 Crawled the strip again

Did the Venetian, Treasure Island, a Volcano thing, Water display at the Bellagio. It is a Disney Land for kids

It is a spectical but for the non gambler, that I am, not my scene! Linda enjoyed taking photos and I took a few but can't find them.

We leave for Chicago tomorrow and then on to Nova Scotia.

Sunday 8th May Helo Trip to Hoover Dam & Grand Canyon

Made sure I took the BP pills before the off ! A bit scary as we were in the hands of a cowboy operation, no process, it is a bit much when the customer is driving it! The Pilots made up for it as they were Afganistan and Iraq Vets and exumed confidence. The ride was brilliant and comfortable even in the high winds. Although I have piloted fixed wing aircraft, one is always aprehesive with all the unknowns but it was breath taking and very comfortable. Being able to see a panarama of California , Arizona, Nevada and Utah from a single point amazing!

Saturday 7th May Las Vegas NV

Dinner in the evening at the Ranch

Our dedicated singing cowboy kept going 16 hours a day, he was good especially arounfd the camp fire !

We all fell off the wagon that night.

The Hoover Dam

Arrived here to find a proper Motel with Hi Quality Internet and free phone calls to continental USA and Canada ! A world first for us !

Waiting to picked up to pick up our Helicoptor at the Airport for our trip to the Grand Canyon this afternoon and tomorrow morning. Heights are not my thing so it will be an experience but hopefully a positive part of our great adventure. It is really hot here even warmer than Singapore ! Will catch a show later after we have recovered from our trek etc.

5th May 2011 Lazy day by the Beach Waikiki and pool

3rd - 6th May Oahu Honolulu

Diamond Head, higher than it looks !

We drove around the Island clockwise today, first stop Diamond Head, clearly visible from Waikiki Beach. More of a challenge than I thought but made it to the top with no signs of being out of breath like the masses ! Took a couple of hours and inspected the Gun turrets at the peak!

Waimea Beach lived up to expectations but it rained heavily later in the afternoon whilst the sun was shinning !
Fiona the surfers were out !

Our Red 4.6 Litre Mustang Convertible performed well even though it had bareley covered 100 miles !
